What each cleanup option does
Trim lines removes spaces and tabs from the beginning and end of each line. Collapse extra spaces reduces runs of repeated spaces or tabs within a line to one ordinary space. Remove extra blank lines reduces three or more consecutive line breaks to two, leaving at most one blank line between paragraphs.
Line endings are normalized to standard newlines. The result is also trimmed at the very beginning and end of the complete text.
- Use Trim lines for text copied with uneven indentation.
- Use Collapse extra spaces to fix accidental spacing inside lines.
- Use Remove extra blank lines to reduce large gaps without joining paragraphs.
